Cooperative Content Precaching Scheme Based on the Mobility Information of Vehicles in Intermittently Connected Vehicular Networks

چکیده
Intermittently connected vehicular networks (ICVNs) consist of vehicles moving on roads and stationary roadside units (RSUs) deployed along roads. In ICVNs, the long distances between RSUs large volume content lead to download delays high traffic overhead backhaul links. Fortunately, improved storage size enhanced mobility prediction afford opportunities ameliorate these problems by proactively caching (i.e., precaching) content. However, existing precaching schemes exploits individually for precaching, even though cooperative them can reduce link traffic. Thus, this paper proposes a scheme that ability both enhance performance downloads in ICVNs. Based trajectory velocity information vehicles, we first select optimal relaying vehicle next cache requested provide it requester optimally. Next, calculate amount each downloading using mathematical model dwell time an RSU contact vehicles. To compensate error determining time, our adds guardband considering expected reduced delay. Finally, evaluate proposed various simulation environments prove achievement efficient comparing with schemes.

A Cooperative Caching Scheme Based on Mobility Prediction in Vehicular Content Centric Networks
Vehicular Content Centric Networks (VCCNs) emerge as a strong candidate to be deployed in informationrich applications of vehicular communications. Due to vehicles’ mobility, it becomes rather inefficient to establish end-to-end connections in VCCNs. Consequently, content packets are usually sent back to the requesting node via different paths in VCCNs. To improve network performance of VCCNs, ...

there are great challenges in vehicular networks, i.e., continuous connectivity cannot be guaranteed due to interruptions. This paper proposes a novel multi-hop broadcasting protocol with low signaling overhead in vehicular networks with frequent interruptions named as Trinary Partitioned Black-Burst based Broadcast Protocol (3P3B-DTN). The protocol operates without any infrastructure. It has l...
متن کاملAutonomic Information Diffusion in Intermittently Connected Networks
In this work, we introduce a framework for designing autonomic information diffusion mechanisms in intermittently connected wireless networks. Our approach is based on the use of techniques and tools drawn from evolutionary computing research, which enable to embed evolutionary features in epidemic-style forwarding mechanisms. In this way, it is possible to build a system in which information d...
متن کاملStochastic Analysis of Delay Statistics for Intermittently Connected Vehicular Networks
We analyze information delivery over a network where direct data exchange via wireless is not possible and therefore intermittent connection through vehicular relaying is used. We refer to a multi-hop scenario where a stationary unit exchanges data packets with a destination outside its communication range, using passing-by vehicles as information carriers. In such a context, we propose an exac...
